Karen Bergren
Board Chair
The process by which the Board of Directors, led by its Chair, elected by and with input from the elected Delegate Members of the Council, uses its authority to ensure organizational stability and fulfillment of the Girl Scout mission by providing leadership, strategic direction, policy-making, and fiduciary oversight for the council, a non-profit corporation organized under the laws of the state of New Mexico.
The governance process provides a structure for communication between the membership and the Board of Directors to influence policy regarding the council's goals, matters affecting girls, and matters affecting the organization's business.
