Girl Scouts in middle and high school can explore their dreams, strengthen their leadership skills, and make great friends! From being part of making decisions for our council to taking part in council program planning, older Girl Scouts have a community ready to help them achieve their goals!
Girl Board Members 
A Girl Board Member, also called Director-at-Large, is elected by the Representative Assembly for one term of two (2) years.
Serving on the Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails Board of Directors gives girls in high school an opportunity to learn leadership and real-world skills needed to work in a business environment. During a Girl Board Members’ two-year term, she will learn about:
- the inner workings of Girl Scouts, locally and nationally
- how the Board Influences and supports girls and the Council
- group dynamics and leadership
- planning skills and strategy
- financial accountability and oversight
Girl Board members may also be asked to join a Board Committee, speak on their experiences in Girl Scouting, or participate in other Board activities.

Current Girl Board Members
Dhavina
is a Senior Girl Scout in Troop 10465 who attends Albuquerque
Academy. She has been a member of Girl Scouts for 9 years, earning her
Bronze Award in 2021 and her Silver Award in 2023. Dhavina is a member
of the Girl Advisory Board to the CEO and also holds leadership roles on
student council and the Ambassadors Club. She is excited to serve on the
board of directors to help Girl Scouts improve in any way possible.
