Join us for this intermediate-level session and expand your horse skills at camp.  Campers in this session should have basic horsemanship skills that include riding in the arena and trail at a walk and tacking up their horse.  We will spend the week exploring the property and expanding our riding skills with games and of course general camp activities.  Overnight in Ojitos with your horse and cook a cowgirl meal for dinner.  Show off your skills at the end of the week in a camper choice activity like gymkhana games, lunch rides, or a mounted flag ceremony.


 

Riding Rookie

Grades 4-6

Learn riding skills and how to care for horses. Spend time each day doing barn chores, horse care, and riding horses!   In this beginner session, you will learn to groom and feed your horse, the basics of leading and mounting, and how to ride your horse in the arena and on the trail.  There will be plenty of time for you to also participate in other camp activities like tie-dye, hiking, and games.


Burro Buddies

Grades 1-3
Member Cost: $600

Come experience camp for the first time.  Gladys, Mazie, and Betty are waiting for you.  Spend the week with our burros.  They love pets, brushing, and potatoes.  Leading them on your adventures and learning all things about basic equine burro care.  There will be plenty of time for traditional camp activities including tie dye, games, and even a chance to visit the barn and paint a horse.  This session DOES NOT include any riding time with horses.


Equine Explorer

Grades 7-12
Member Cost: $675

Let's hit the trails!  We will spend the week learning all about horses and exploring camp on horseback.  Girls will spend time each day on horseback, in the barn caring for horses, and participating in general camp activities.  End your week with a picnic ride with your new friends. No experience is required for this session.


Cowgirl Camper

Grades 2-4

Are you horse crazy and ready to explore the world of horses? This is a beginner horse session for younger girls. Spend time every day in the barn riding and learning all about horses and their care. Participate in other camp activities like hikes, art projects, and a cowgirl cooking out. It's a fun-filled week full of adventure!


Equine Explorer

Grades 7-12
