
Live performances, creative activities, and youth craft fair open to the public
Albuquerque, N.M. (July 11, 2024) – Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails is proud to present the Summer Art Fiesta on Saturday, July 13, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. This free, family-friendly event offers hands-on art experiences for children, youth performances, community displays, and a craft fair featuring handmade goods created by Girl Scouts from kindergarten through 12th grade. The Summer Art Fiesta will take place at 4000 Jefferson Plaza NE.
Summer Art Fiesta will include:
Hands-On Art Exploration: Dive into the world of art with interactive booths from the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science, Canvas & Coffee, Kid Create, RayKitty, Las Aranas Spinners & Weavers Guild, Bead Society of New Mexico, Las Aranas Spinners & Weavers Guild, and more!
Live Performances: Captivating live performances from the Youth Jazz Collaborative of New Mexico, School of Rock, & the Albuquerque Little Theater.
Artisan Marketplace: Summer Art Fiesta will also feature handmade items created by New Mexico Girl Scouts, including crochet pieces, jewelry, dog goods, book crafts, 3D printed items, and more. This is the perfect place to discover one-of-a-kind pieces that can add a splash of color to your home or serve as a special gift. Supporting these young entrepreneurs helps to encourage their creative endeavors, and 100% of the proceeds stay with the Girl Scouts.
Summer Art Fiesta is sponsored by the Kirtland Spouses Club. Menchie’s Froyo Mobile will be available to purchase sweet treats. Some booths may take cash only.
