The Troop Chile Award is an annual recognition program honoring troops who achieve high standards in Girl Scouting through troop activities during the "Chile" year (October 1 - September 30) and represents a well-rounded troop.
Each troop will receive:
- A congratulatory letter and troop Chile certificate
- The Chile Award patch and "2023-2024" bar patch, compliments of Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails
- Recognition in our November Girl Scout Gazette monthly email, a special highlight in a Troop Essentials weekly email, and posted on the recognitions page of our council website
Troop Chile Award Criteria 
The Service Unit Ristra Award
The Service Unit Ristra Award is a new recognition program honoring Service Units who achieve high standards in Girl Scouting through Service Unit accomplishments and activities during the "Chile" year (October 1 - September 30) and represents a well-rounded Service Unit.
Each Service Unit will receive:
- A congratulatory letter and Service Unit Ristra certificate
- A $25 VISA gift card to be used towards a Service Unit program event, training, or activity expense.
- Recognition in our November Girl Scout Gazette monthly email, a special highlight in a Troop Essentials weekly email, and posted on the recognitions page of our council website

The Juliette Chile Award
The Juliette Chile Award is an annual recognition program
honoring Juliette Girl Scouts and their caregivers who achieve high
standards in Girl Scouting through activities during the
"Chile" year (October 1 - September 30) and represents a
well-rounded Girl Scout.
