Teaching business skills through their Entrepreneurial Craft Fair. For more than a century, the Girl Scouts have been diligently pursuing its mission to build girls of courage, confidence, and character. One of the many ways they do this is through their craft fair. It’s an opportunity for young girls to learn very important business and networking skills.
“Cookies are a big part of Girl Scouts, but we want them to be able to use their business skills outside of cookie season,” said Allie Burnquist, Director of Girl Experience.
Burnquist added that the fair allows Girl Scouts to showcase their talents while they practice their business skills.
The free event will have 34+ booths of jewelry, photography, sewing, treats and so much more. The Girl Scouts artisans range from kindergarten to 12th grade and are coming from all over the state to sell their items.
The Entrepreneur Craft Fair is December 7 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Berna Facio Professional Development Center, located at 3315 Louisiana Blvd NE Albuquerque, NM 87110.
