Jump into the water, swimming, canoeing, river rafting, paddle boarding. Warm up and dry off next to a campfire cooking and having a s’more. Pop some water balloons at archery, do some water coloring at the art center. Drop water bombs from the high ropes to hit the bullseye. This week is all about the water!
Have you ever wanted to live in the past? Learn about the ways of our ancestors, get back to basics. Bake bread, churn butter, and make ice cream and soap. Learn about the Moreno valley surrounding Barker. Participate in a Wild West gold rush. Cook out and create a cool camp souvenir. This will be a week full of fun and adventure.
Mach II (Multi-Adventure-Challenge)
Kick your adventure into over drive with this week of thrills. Start your week off on the zip line at Angel Fire Resort, head climbing to ultimate heights near the Taos Gorge, and end it traveling through the rapids of the Rio Grande. With all that adventure you will need to do a cookout for some good food. Make a journal to track all your adventures to share with those that didn’t have the adventure spirit.
Super Hero Academy
Do you wish to be just like Batman or Spiderman? Then get ready for a heroic adventure. Become the superhero of your dreams and design logos, mask, and more to create your secret identity. Prove your skills with secret missions and kitchen raids.
Continue to develop your camp leadership skills by learning more activities to keep campers active, engaged, learning and having fun. You will continue to work directly with campers as you learn about supervision, group management, and program planning experience. You will also gain insight into the responsibilities of managing a safe and successful camp community. Plan an “all camp” activity or campfire. Leave your legacy with a camp service project.
