End the week with friends and good memories.
Right on Target
Ready, aim, fun! Get the bows and arrows ready and develop those archery skills. Spend every day at the archery range playing fun and challenging games. Learn how to score and compete for an end of camp challenge where the golden arrow will be awarded to the top archer. Maybe you will come up with your own unique archery game for the rest of the camp to play. Have time for all the other fun activities of camp.
Take your backpacking to the next level. Become a Wheeler Peak mountaineer. Use various navigation ways to plan a 4 day adventure reaching the top of New Mexico’s highest peak. Enjoy the freedom of the open trail, gaze at the stars and cook a gourmet meal in the open woods. Take a trip to the Earth Ships in Taos to learn about living “off the grid” and how solar energy is so important and can be useful when backpacking. This will be a unique and rewarding experience.
*Note campers will return between sessions. A complete packing list will be sent to all participants. Backpacks provided if needed.
This is the first step on the journey to becoming a camp counselor. Start your first week with the same training our camp counselors go through - learn child development, program planning and how to be a good mentor to young girls. During the second week, you will have the chance to assist counselors in a unit, singing songs, and playing games. You will even have a chance to assist in the program area of your choice.
